How old were you when you first went to a gynaecologist? What was your experience like? 
I’m 15 and never been to one and I feel like that’s not normal or whatever.

I was 18 but it's suggested as soon as you become sexual active.

If you're sexually active or having period trouble I would suggest going. It's not bad at all if your find the right doctor! Pap smears begin at 21 of your sexually active, later in life if you're not (I think 25?). But they're wonderful for any questions or concerns😊

You can go to the gynecologist whenever you want or have questions about your reproductive health (although your primary physician is just as qualified). I still haven’t actually gone to a gynecologist. But I had my first Pap smear at 20 with my primary. It’s recommended when you become sexually active, and if results come back normal, every three years should suffice.

I was 20 the first time I got a “well woman check” (which is a Pap smear, pelvic exam and breast exam) at my primary care physician. Usually they have women wait until they are 21 but I was married and had been sexually active for quite some time.

Probably 16. It wasn’t bad. If you aren’t sexually active or have any gynecological problems/complaints, it’s not really necessary to go until you’re due for a Pap smear, which is around 21 now.

I started going when I was 19. I had always heard you should start going when you get your period for the first time, but my mom didn't do that, so I started going years later just because.

I didn't go until I was sexually active, around 20 or 21. Had my first pap smear which was uncomfortable and scary then got diagnosed with HPV from my ex boyfriend.
