ADVICE NEEDED

Hi everyone!

So I am in a sticky situation. I am a new Makeup Artist, I have been doing it for about a year now. I can honestly say I am a pretty good makeup artist, I am also 19 years old. I got a job with another makeup artist about 6 months ago she hired me as a makeup artist/assistant. She told me I would be getting payed $10 for assisting and different pay for doing makeup looks.

The minimum wage at this point was 10.50 so it didn’t bother me not getting those extra 50 cents. As I began working for her she just pays $10 always no different pay for doing makeup and sometimes I end up doing hair as well even though I am not certified and do a whole client myself and she makes about $200 per client and I feel like I’m not benefiting at all and my parents keep telling me she’s taking advantage of me because all products I use are mine as well as lashes which can get pricey for the amount she pays me. As a makeup artist our clients are pretty early and they are in different places and she wants me to show up to everything wearing a full face of makeup even though she doesn’t wear anything at all, let me also say sometimes we start doing makeup at 4am or 5am which means I have to wake up at 3am just to do my makeup and I work 11 hours sometimes and no over time pay just the regular $10. I’m not sure how to ask for a raise I’m very shy about talking about things like that and also when we go out she buys me food 70% of the time... or like a coffee in the morning. She’s very nice but also feels likes she’s taking advantage at the same times. PLEASE HELP, sorry if this has nothing to do with this app I just really need advice since my parents just yell at me to say something and it doesn’t help /:
