Intense periods after Skyla

Hi, I got my IUD back in March and until recently didnt experience many problems. I feel like every period since about August has been increasingly worse. I got Skyla to maybe help lessen the amount of bleeding I experience. At first, it helped with this, but now the bleeding is just as bad and I have cramping like I have never experienced before.

For years, I have experienced pain during sex, and I suspect there is some underlying issue present as well. I thought that the hormonal IUDs were supposed to alleviate period symptoms, but this is not the case for me right now. I would really like to hear other people’s experience with their IUDs and if some people experience more painful periods on a hormonal IUD.
