How did you know they were The One?

How and when did you know that your partner was the one you were meant to be with? I want to hear any stories y'all have!! (-:

We knew each other in high school but we reconnected in college during winter break. We had a friend in common and so there were about 8 of us hanging out at someone’s house. We stayed up until 5am talking. I told him about what I picture for myself in the future. I have this moment I’m looking forward to. I picture sipping coffee in my robe on the front porch watching my kids play in the yard. My house would be in the mountains and my dog would be running around with the kids. Then he told me what he wanted of his future and it was so similar. In that moment I could see him sitting next to me on that porch in the mountains watching our kids. We’ve been together a year now and neither of us can see our lives going any other way.

I knew he was the one before we started dating. He came over so we could hang out at my house but we were strung onto a long process of errands by my parents. We sword fought with ceiling fan cleaners (with the pole & feathers) in the aisle at Home Depot. Went out to eat, went to Best Buy and we both got to geek out over movies. He had to help me babysit my little brother at the park. We went on slides together and had a great time. The night ended with us cuddling in my bed watching Netflix :) i asked him out a few weeks later & took me to see Thor :)
