Love problems

I'm a sophomore and there's this boy who's a senior he goes to my school and we snapchat all the time but have never talked in person and he really wants to hangout with me but I have really bad anxiety about hanging out with people I've never talked to before bc it always ends up being awkward and i don't know what to do because he's going off to college so I don't really have a lot of time to figure out what to do. Anyone have any advice??
