My advice is just be cautious, get to know each other like you would going into any relationship and depending on laws in your country be careful of who you tell what.

Age gap isn't a big deal at all BUT you should think about the legality of it. Depending on where you live you should look into laws because in some places your relationship would be legal but having sex together could be illegal (statutory rape).

just don't sleep with him. if you're thinking about it, tell whichever adult(s) you live with because even though you are over the age of consent, if your guardians don't want you to be sleeping with him, there is still a chance he could get in trouble because he's over 18. after all, you do still live under their roof (probably)

You’re still a minor so the age gap is too much. He should be looking at women his own age and not underage girls. That could land him in jail as a sex offender by fooling around with you. Wait til you’re of majority age or find someone your own age but leave this man alone.
