Midwife not bothered???

Question

So I’m 6 weeks and 5 days today, and I’m only due for an appointment to see the midwife when I’m 9 weeks for blood tests. They haven’t mentioned anything to do with an ultrasound yet, I’m stressed and want to make sure baby is ok but they don’t want to see me. Is anyone else in the same situation?

The don’t tend to offer you a scan in the Uk until at least 12 weeks unless you have have issues before such as miscarriage or bleeding in this pregnancy. Sadly you just have to wait it out and try not to think the worse. I’m currently 9 weeks and don’t have my first appointment until 11 weeks so I don’t think I will get a scan until at least 13/ 14 weeks. This is my second but I am still worried and I do think it the hardest time to wait until you get seen by the midwife.

It's very common now to wait till 9-12 weeks later for multiple reasons. 
1) it's really not good to have multiple ultrasounds. Even if you are high risk. 
2) miscarriage is extremely high in the first 2 months 
3) you don't see much under 7-8 weeks or so. Midwifes won't do a Doppler to hear heart beat til after 10 weeks.
So do your "make sure everything is ok ultrasound" but you shouldn't pay for anymore. Just listen to you dr/midwife.

Same here I’m in Florida I’m not due to my first appt until the 18th of June. So last week i paid $50 for a 2D ultrasound at a place called baby up close. Really great experience is a private ultrasound and u get to see the little bean 😍🤗🤗🤗 I’m going again tomorrow to find a heart beat

I’m 6 weeks and 5 days, my first appointment is Wednesday. Unsure why it’s not the same for you maybe because I’m still a teen🤷🏼‍♀️ surly if you express you just want a quick check on everything they’ll sort something.

In the U.K. that's standard. My first appt isn't until 20th June when I'll be 8w6d and my scan is when I'm 12w4d
