infertile???

2 years ago I had my paraguard IUD removed it gave me PID because me and my boyfriend we're having rough sex before he went back to prison almost a year and a half later we've been trying to get pregnant and unsure if it has damaged my uteris or not because I am unable to get pregnant BUT I also smoke weed/and cigs and he does Suboxone and smokes cigs and weed every know and then

my best friend was with her boyfriend for 8 years and she's just now getting pregnant could it be normal that this is happening or could it be possible infertility my periods are always 8 days long and super heavy and come usually on time or early 🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷
