Am I fat?!?!

All the time people call me fat and it really gets to me. I’m 13 and I feel like I’m fat. I’m taller than normal 13 year olds ( 5’8) does that have anything to do with it?

You’ve definitely got some curves, but I’d never call you fat. I’m 17 and I was taller when I was 13 too, I’m 5’10” now and about the same height as you are when I was 13. I think you’re fine. If you want to change your body, do it safely and healthily. But only change for you. Don’t lose weight because you want to please other people. You’re beautiful and whatever you do I’ll support, but no matter your size you should always love yourself, bottom line.

I’d say you’re overweight. You should try eating healthy while also exercising or doing some physical activity that’s fun. Don’t do crazy extreme diets to lose weight fast because you’ll end up gaining it all back. Also don’t try to restrict yourself from the foods you love, but also be mindful of what you eat(so basically eat in moderation). You can try following the 80/20 rule where you eat 80% healthy foods to fuel your body and leave the 20% for when you want to indulge a little.

You look overweight and you should exercise while you are young because it's a lot easier to loose weight when you are less than 18. I was overweight too (168cm and 75kg) and it doesn't feel good at all. It's not healthy. And loose weight the healthy way(exercise, move more and watch what you eat) don't do extreme diets and stuff like that. And yes I would say that you are quite fat because you have quite a lot of belly fat.
