Ortho Tri Cyclen? Your experiences?

I had been on Lutera for about 6 months and it caused horrible acne. I also was pretty down for the first 2 months and experienced mood swings. I have been off birth control now for about 6 months. 
I am now wanting to try ortho tri cyclen But am scared of experiencing bad side effects. What are your experiences? How did your skin react? What about the mood swings? Weight gain?
Also how long do I wait after starting a birth control to have unprotected sex

I’ve been on it for about 2 years now. I personally love it. I’ve never had any bad side effects at all and it’s made my periods much lighter and more tolerable. As for weight gain, I think that was due to unhealthy eating lol so I don’t think my pills caused that. I’ve never had acne and it didn’t cause any so I can’t really comment on that. You can go unprotected after using the first week on time everyday.

I personally didnt like ortho tri cyclen but I also have issues reacting to a lot of meds. Ive tried 3-4 bc brands before I found one I liked. I’ve been on microgestin fe since last june and I love it. My skin is clear, light periods that last 3-5 days instead of heavy ones lasting a week or more.

I’ve been on ortho tri cyclen for 8 months now. At first, it made me nauseous for about the first 2 days of the new pack but then I had no other side effects for the rest of the month. My skin didn’t really clear up (which was my main point for going on the pill). I haven’t had any mood swings or weight gain at all. Hope this helps :)
