my boyfriend barley tells me anything?

so my boyfriend has been talking about getting a tattoo for awhile but i didn’t think he would do it. so while i’m in school the other day he texted me “hey i’m getting a tattoo just text me later” and got upset when i asked him about it. then he applied for a job and when we were sitting watching tv he said oh i applied for a job the other day i have an interview coming up. it’s just weird to me because i always discuss things with him before i do them if it will be in our best interest. i’ve told him it annoys me that he doesn’t tell me anything. i just don’t know what to do. am i over reacting?
