Flat/inverted nipples- using pacifier?

Anyone have experience or advice on breastfeeding with flat/inverted nipples and also using a pacifier. 
I was super worried about breastfeeding and after a few very hard days, we have been doing great, latching every time and feeding very well! 
Even with a full belly she is still always constantly trying to suck on something, her hand, our arms, clothes, hubby nipples 😂, and will get frustrated and upset and fussy and won’t go to sleep. I feel like she would really like a paci but I’m worried about nipple confusion of course.

I don’t have flat or inverted nipples but my right one just never “perked” up like the left did and it took some extra work to get my son to latch that side. He used a pacifier since the hospital and didn’t seem to have extra trouble because of it. But for my night feedings where I just didn’t have the energy to work on him latching the right side I used a nipple shield. I was worried it would make me feel less bonded but it worked amazingly and still felt very natural. 
You could try a pacifier that has a smaller nipple and not one of the bulky ones: I recommend looking into Tommee Tippee or MAM brand. Be sure to get the 0-3 month size because they will be the smallest. 
And if it DOES create a hard time during breastfeeding then you could use a nipple shield. 
There are a lot of days I couldn’t survive without my sons pacifier 😂

I breastfeed and my daughter does the same. I’ve been trying to give her a paci for a few weeks now and she is not interested AT ALL lol. She spits it out. I kinda wish she’d take it to soothe. She’d rather suck her fingers 🤷‍♀️
