is answering a dm cheating (also leave a comment w your opinion!)

for example, i am currently in a relationship and i do get dm’s from other guys. 98% of time i dont reply to the ones that are just like “hey😍” and shit like that, but if i get a dm and the first message i get is them telling me they think i’m pretty or whatever, i’ll text back just to say thank you, but i wont carry on with the conversation after i say thanks. would you consider that wrong? i only answer those ones because i dont wanna seem like a stuck up bitch who cant take a compliment. my friends and i are having a debate over this, so i’d love to know what you guys think!!
