Do you think it’s rude when people don’t text you back? Or if it takes them several days to respond?

I used to always text family- send pictures, or links to articles that they may be interested in, just to keep lines of communication open, a way to be their friend.

I noticed after a while that they would take forever to respond, or not respond at all. The next time I’d see them in person, they would sometimes apologize for not getting back to me, and other times they’d say nothing.

I used to take it personally, but I’ve stopped trying and if I absolutely must text and they don’t reply, I just chalk it up as annoying.

My question for you ladies, do you think it’s rude when people don’t text back or take forever to? Or isn’t there really etiquette for that sort of thing? Just curious! Thanks 😊

(Btw I never expect people to get back to me right away, maybe within a day or two. But isn’t a week stretching it?)
