When did you tell your work?

I’m plus size so I know should I get pregnant it’ll take a while before I start to show. I really want to hold out as long as I can bc my coworkers are overbearingly nosey. Has anyone else experienced a work place like this? And when did you tell your employer?

I work in a dental office with 20 other women so it was damn near impossible to keep it a secret! I’m about 7 weeks now, I told my boss last week the news, and the other girls figured it out after a whole week of nothing but soda crackers and ginger ale.

I was in the same boat. I did tell our HR manager as well as my boss right after our first ultrasound at 7 weeks. I decided to share the news at 12 weeks with the rest of my office. Thankfully I did not have morning sickness, or that would have been a dead giveaway while trying to keep my secret! When I finally announced at work, a few of my co-workers whom I consider friends we're somewhat upset that I did not tell them, but completely understood me wanting to keep the secret. It has been good  so far...  Everyone has been encouraging and supportive. Of course there's always the few people who want to give their opinions and advice. That's just small office dynamics I suppose. Most of them will be shocked again as I intend on giving my two weeks notice prior to my current maternity leave date. Going to be a stay at home mom. ❤

I ended up telling my work as soon as i found out. I was 2 weeks away from getting gastric sleeve so i was already set to take a week off, so since i had to cancel that, i knew they would ask why. It was inevitable for me 🤷🏽‍♀️.

My immediate supervisor knows, I’m telling my colleagues in 2 weeks (I’ll be 10 weeks). I have great relationships with my coworkers so I’m not worried about anyone responding poorly.

I didn’t tell my colleagues, they guessed! 😂 I had awful hiccups and was going to the bathroom to wee a lot and they just straight up said “you’re pregnant?!” 
I’m an awful liar so I couldn’t deny it 😂😂😂

Told my boss and coworkers after I told my family. Told fam around 12 weeks at xmas, told co workers at 13 weeks after we came back for the new year

Depends on whether you have any workplace hazards.  I had to tell my boss and the building nurse almost right away.

I had horrible morning sickness and all day nausea so they all found out about 2 days in. But I didn't start showing until week 25-28.... it might be possible to almost get to your 3rd trimester without them knowing. Good luck!❤❤
