What’s wrong w me

So there’s this guy (he’s my brothers friend), and basically none of my friends like him because they each have their own reason not to lol. He came over to my house a couple times to hang out w my brother and he seemed like a genuinely nice guy, so we started texting and when I start texting him, I tell him everything like literally everything. I tell him about my problems and fears and what I’m going thru, stuff I don’t even tell my friends. And he listens and helps me. He also tells me about his problems. For some reason I trust him and he trusts me. There’s no way that I like him and no way that he’ll like me because he likes one of my friends. So why do I trust him? And why do I tell him everything? I don’t talk to him when we’re in public, like at church or something, because it would be awkward and people would start assuming things... SO WHATS WRONG WITH ME??
