I need some help. So my dad wants my boyfriend to call him ask him when he’s available so my boyfriend can come over in person and ask him if he can take me to prom.

My boyfriend says he doesn’t want to call him, he’d like to talk to him in person and he doesn’t mind asking in person.

Prom is in 2 weeks and I’m completely lost bc on one side, i feel like my bf can just come over normally and ask, but at the same time, I feel like it’s so easy for my boyfriend to call and have a 2 minute convo about my fathers availability. And at the same time, I don’t feel like the phone call is necessary.

I can’t ask bc my father said he doesn’t want "a third party" (aka me) to set it up.

Can someone please tell me what I can do? Idk if my boyfriend is being a baby about it or if my dad is being extra about it.
