Thoughts on birth ball does it really help with effacement and dilating ?

I used the peanut ball during labor laying on my left side with my right leg up on it. I went from 6 cm to 10 cm in a half hour.....I’d say they work!!

I don't know about effacement and dilation, but it felt great on my hips and lower back to roll around, so it was definitely worth it for me.

If you’re in labor, YES! It can’t put you into labor if you aren’t already though.

I used it since 35 week. Because of hip pain and I started using it more when I got closer like around 37-38 weeks. I’m 40+6 with 0cm dilation and 0 effacement so it didn’t work me for at all and it didn’t lower my baby at all she’s still high

I used a peanut ball. The nurse had me lay on my side and put the ball between my legs I went from 6-10 in an hour and a half.

I used it for pain management while in labor and waiting for my doctor to come to do my csection last time(baby was breech). I went from 1cm to 6cm in 3 1/2 hours! Not sure if it was the ball or it just progressed quickly, but it felt good to be sitting on the ball with my head and arms on the bed and the hubby was massaging my back.
