Virginity Talk

So I'm still a Virgin and I don't really believe in giving it up to a boyfriend, because boyfriends come and go. I would like to lose it to a friend of mine who I've liked for over a year and he recently told me that he likes me. He is a football player, but I've never heard of him actually having a girlfriend and he has low self-esteem. We had a long discussion about all of this and we decided that we were not going to date but have a Dom/Sub relationship which I've had before (not including sex) recently we had a talk about who I'd like to lose it to and I give my explanation and then I told him that i would like to lose it to him (he isn't a virgin). He said okay. So I was wondering if it's bad that I think this way or if it's acceptable and reasonable? And if yall believe that losing it to a close friend is good? Or if anyone lose it that way? Btw I'll be 16 in Dec, does the age of 16 make a difference in the the decision/answers ?
