Should I feel guilty?
My boyfriend and I have been together for 2 years. We have a very healthy and happy relationship. I am 17 and my parents have very strict rules. The only way we can hang out is by driving around because he isn't allowed at my house for more than a few hours because my family wants him to leave by 9 and he works. I am not allowed at his house at all. When he comes to my house my parents and 3 siblings are always right on top of us and it makes us uncomfortable. I love my family and he does too, but it frustrates us both that we can only hang out by driving around doing nothing or being at my house with constant noise. I turn 18 next week and I want to start hanging out at his house so we can see each other without being in the car or someone breathing down our necks. I just feel guilty going against my parents rules, even though I will be 18. We have never had sex and don't plan to anytime soon. But this method of seeing each other isn't working anymore, he is spending a fortune in gas when we could just be hanging out at his house. I have a really hard time reasoning with my parents because they always think I am lying or they are right. Should I feel guilty? Or should I hang out there anyway?
Also I should probably mention that I have an app put on my phone by my parents to make sure I am not at his house. Should I uninstall that when I turn 18 as well?
Update: I turned 18 the other day and today we got to hang out at his house and it was fun. We ate snacks and watched TV 😋
