Is birth control bad for your body?
I used to be on birth control when I was 15ish. I got on it mainly because I had really bad cramps and it was supposed to help with them and my skin (it did.) I wasn’t sexually active. I had a hard time the older I got remembering to take my pills and it would mess my cycle up, so I got off of it when I was 18. I’m 20 now, and have considered taking birth control again to skip my periods, but everybody says that it’s really not good for your body with the exception of preventing pregnancy. My boyfriend can’t have kids, so pregnancy isn’t a concern. I’ve done some research on birth control and why exactly it’s bad for you, but there’s still so many differing opinions. It never hurt me before, but there’s so many people that say it’s bad for you and I can see that, I try to avoid medication unless it’s seriously needed anyway. But I just want to get some more opinions about it. And if you know anything please comment and inform me I’m always trying to learn.
