This is a bit confusing.

I go out with jake (fake name) and weve been together a few months (still in high school) and his best mate recently told me that he was forcing it with his ex girlfriend. Basically he didnt actually like her but she liked him a lot so he went out with her anyway. I've been thinking about it a lot lately and I dont know what to do. He does treat me differently to her, like he takes me out is defensive and buys me things which he never used to do with her. But I still feel uncertain shall I tell her or not? And does he actually like me?
