Flange too big??

Question

I am currently using the smallest size flange Spectra offers (20mm) because I thought the others were too big. I'm a FTM, so I'm new to all of these and very confused! Do these look too big or too small? I feel like more than my nipple is getting pulled in 🤷‍♀️

It is supposed to be more than the nipple getting pulled in. The baby sucks on the areola not the nipple to get the milk out so it is supposed to be bigger and areola SHOULD be getting sucked into the flange to get the best milk because that's what the baby would be doing.

Looks similar to how mine fits and my doctor said mine was good.

I liked a quarter of an inch clearance all around my nipple.  I ep'd for 11 months.  If you are feeling "drained" and comfortable, use those flanges.  Otherwise move up a size.
