Magic Merlin sleep suit

What’s everyone’s thoughts on the Magic Merlin sleep suit? We used it with our first and he slept 12 hours a night starting around 10 weeks but doesn’t seem to help much with our second baby.

My 7 month old is still waking at least twice a night. I’m going to start sleep training this weekend. I think the Merlin suit is part of the reason he can’t self soothe - he can’t move around and reach to find his pacifier.

Any better alternatives?

Used a sleep sack last night and he slept through the night! Woke up once and couldn’t find his pacifier so I went it and gave it to him and he was out cold again. Went to bed at 7pm and he’s still asleep at 5:30am! This is the most sleep I’ve gotten since he was born 7 months ago!!!
