Do you think ”The purge” should be real?

For those who don’t know “The purge” is a movie series based in the future where for one day a year all crime(including murder) is legal for 12 continuous hours. The meaning for it to rid the citizens of all unlawful urges by letting them participate in a day were everything is legal in hopes to keep the rest of the year crime free. I personally don’t like the idea of the purge and think it’s scary and dangerous but I’ve meet a lot of other people who think its great idea, I want to see what you ladies think.
