My ex is actually one of my best friends and idk what he meant when he said this

So me and my ex we still talk cause we’re good friends and so yesterday I was talking to him and this is what he said.

I asked how he was and he said he was fine, and then he asked me how I was and before I moved away we were together and good friends too and so I said “I’m good, I miss hanging around though”

“Ikr, used to be really loud.”

My face just went red at what he wrote and then he said he was joking but I don’t think he was. Mainly because I’ve told him a lot of stuff I’d never admit to anyone else and he knows it, and it’s not the first he’s made a joke like that.

Surprisingly enough I don’t mind, but he’s confusing, can y’all help me out?
