Is there always a shadow when holding test to light?

It’s a little more clear when I use my phone light, but there is a shadow next to the test line that looks like a line. Is that present in all preg tests no matter what? I should’ve held it to light before I used it :/

Look at the back of the test.  There are plastic lines/edges along the back. That's what that shadow is.

Yes, it is. You shouldn’t hold it up to the light. There is a shadow on all of the pink FRER/FR tests.

I believe there’s always a ‘line’ because that’s where the colour is absorbed as it passes through if hcg is detected. Do you have a test where it isn’t held to light?
