Period cramps

Iv had my period for about 3 years now and I'm starting to get worse and worse cramps each month. What should I do? My mom wants me on birth control cause my step sister is but she wants .e to get and implant in my arm and so I went to the place and told me i didnt want it so I didn't but I'm willing to try other thing but shots and my mom won't let me. So I'd what to do if uv got any tips at all please share. Thx for reading
