Have you ever been shouted at for being depressed?

So I'm crying in my room cos I'm emotionally exhausted. My dad comes home and finds me crying and starts shouting at me for it.

"Why are you crying? Your parents aren't dead! You can cry when it's our funeral. Why are you crying?! You live in a strong and stable family, there shouldn't be a reason for you to cry!" Etc.

So it extends to a lecture and how I should be more positive. He shouts "we're ready to help you with anything and you're still upset. We're a family, you have so much love and support. You shouldn't be so negative."

Suffice to say I don't feel better despite his passionate words.
