Do y’all think drug dealers eventually get caught by the police?

My good friend sells pounds of weed and I’m trying to convince him to get a job so he don’t get caught up in the system but he says I’m just hating on him because he has like 15k. But I’m honestly not I just don’t want to see him away from his family. Now he’s buying a challenger for 8k and I feel like it’s going to make the police pay even more attention to him. Idk maybe I’m just paranoid because I care for him. He has a 9 month old son and his girlfriend is currently pregnant. If he’s in jail she won’t have a way to provide for the kids because she depends on him. What can I do to make him realize this situation could turn out bad ?

I'm sure not All dealers get caught. But if he doesn't have a normal job, ect, and randomly pops up and drops a chunk of money on a flashy car- he's gonna be the type to get caught because it's showing off his money (by buying a flashy car), and bragging about how much he has (since he told you) and he's eventually either going to draw attention or piss someone off and the cops are going to catch on

My husband uncle is like 70 and has been growing and selling weed for his sole source of income since the 70’s. Hes been married for like 40 years and has 3 grown kids and 4 grandkids. He’s never gotten caught. I honestly never would have believed it until we went to his house and my husband too me to his “greenhouse.” My friends boyfriend is an accountant and sells weed on the side to like 25-30 different people. Never would have suspected that either. Both guys are super smart and don’t fit the drug dealer stereotype. I don’t think all drug dealers get caught, i just think the stupid ones do. There are tons of criminals out there who never get caught. Is breaking the law the right thing to do? No. But do people get away with it? Yeah.

Yeah, he’s not gonna have proof of income if slinging weed is his only job to justify being able to afford that car. That’s a screw up on his end. Wherever he buys the car from us going to report that sale on their taxes, and it’s not going to match up on his end. If you’re going to do that kind of thing, you can’t change your lifestyle to fit your pocketbook. That’s too obvious, and it’s dumb af 🤷🏻‍♀️

Nothing, I’d say back off of that stuff and I wouldn’t post about it much. It’s sort of snitching if your name and stuff is seen and if you can’t control it try not to focus on it! Maybe just don’t touch on that subject? Hopefully all works out in your friends way they want. Have a great day❤️

My dad sells (I’m actually not sure if he still does or not) pain pills and weed and he’s never been caught. Personally I don’t think there’s really anything you can do other then stop being friends with him because he’s probably not someone you should have in your life.
