Should I ask my sister if it’s true she dated our next door neighbor in high school? (Read the description )

Question

She thinks I don’t know but I have a few clues to suggest she did. 
First of all she was in high school so 15 or so and this dude is 22 at that time. 
Now she is 23 and he’s about 30. He has a girlfriend he lives with now and has two step kids. 
Last night a guy from my high school who was best friends with my next door neighbor casually mentioned it to me and I think he thought I knew. But I def didnt. I would never approve of this relationship even now. He doesn’t have a stable job and he doesnt take care of himself. I’ve always thought he was a creep. 
Another clue I got was I saw messages from a guy on her cell with the same name. when we were back in high school. But I didn’t wanna believe it back then. Now I’m thinking they really did date or hook up. This is illegal and wrong . The age difference is huge. 
Idk whether to ask her or just not. We don’t have a close relationship Like we used to.

Im hoping when we’re older she will come clean and tel me what happened because as an older sister this is very very scary to me if it’s true.

It’s very wrong but I wouldn’t ask... I mean if she wanted you to know she would of mentioned it now as an adult. Some things just deserve to be left in the past and maybe this one is one of them if she has never brought it up. Unfortunately a lot of girls are groomed by older men :/ Maybe it’s one of those things she regrets deeply and doesn’t want anyone to know.

I voted no, and I read the story body. I don't particularly think it's going to be helpful to ask. First of all, even if it is true then unless SHE is prepared to speak up, nothing is going to come of it. Maybe she purposely never mentioned it because it's a touchy subject for her. Or maybe it's a lie or an exaggeration (I mean some people are really good at creating "evidence"). Either way, no it's not something I would do.

If I really wanted to say something I would mention it as a casual thing rather than a asking thing. I understand your concerns about the age gap but it has been a while and she is of the legal age now so it's pretty pointless

These comments are ridiculous. I hope none of these people have kids. As someone who went through that with her own sister let me just tell you that it’s honestly better not to know. More than likely she was groomed. But I’m sure she never told you about it because she is embarrassed and probably regrets it. Either way trust me you wouldn’t feel better knowing. Maybe one day she will tell you. Don’t listen to these comments though I don’t think you’re judy for wanting to know or talk about it. She is your sister and at the time she was underage. Not sure why these people are acting like its no big deal but it is. I just hope she recovered from it.
