Not wanting to use protection. 👀

I'm 16 and my boyfriend is turning 18 next month. I want to have sex for the first time. I know I'm ready but I don't want to use protection. At first he was hesitant about it and now he just says he doesn't care as long as I'm happy. I'm going to make sure I'm not ovulating and that he pulls out. Is it bad that I don't want to use protection ???? Comment opinions please.
