PCOS and ovulation strips

I’m currently on day 23 of my cycle and I have polycystic ovaries and I still haven’t had anywhere near a positive ovulation test till today. They keep going up and I get hopeful and then they drop back down again. I’m worried the same thing will happen. I know they say they don’t work with PCOS but I wanted to try as when my periods go irregular I never know if I’m late or if I’ve even ovulated yet ( I had that happen before I was in my eyes 4 days late and I had a scan and turns out I hadn’t even ovulated)

Need some support and advice as I’ve been ttc for over a year now and starting to get deflated against

Update: it’s just dropped right back down again. Could I have missed my peak?
