Potential employer called one reference and I have not heard anything since.
So I interviewed for a job in Public Health on January 19th. My interview went well and on Monday they emailed me asking for permission to contact my references. They called one of my references on Tuesday. My reference called me to inform me she had been contacted, wished me luck and said she hopes her input helped me secure the position (so no concerns that she said anything that would make the employer not want to hire me). I haven’t heard anything since then and they never contacted the remaining two references. They are hiring multiple candidates for this position as the demand in Public Health is high with COVID. I also know from a friend that currently works there that things are crazy right now. I’m wondering if I should be concerned or not. I’m really hoping to get this job as I lost mine due to COVID.
Do you think there is still a chance I was a successful candidate or does it sound like they possibly changed their minds?
