How much formula?

How much formula are your little ones having? We are on 6 ounces 3 times a day but leaving more and more each day. Thinking about dropping a bottle and adding snack?
Also healthy snack ideas? We already eat ALOT of fruit at meal times 😂

My pediatrician recommended offering yogurt. Our family loves plain Fage yogurt mixed with fruit and some granola. Just make sure the granola is made with honey. My baby girl and big brother love roasted seaweed. I cut it up into small squares before giving.

We had been doing 5 six oz bottles a day, with 3 meals. She just turned 11 months and I cut out the mid afternoon bottle and replaced it with a snack and water. Greek yogurt, cheese and fruit, banana and Cheerios. Basically just another meal! She’s handling it great. It a couple weeks I’ll cut out the mid morning bottle and replace with a similar snack. At 12 months I’ll cut out lunch bottle first, then breakfast, then finally bedtime. Just know when you drop a bottle they 1) need more water and 2) need more substantial food!

Hi! From what I’ve looked into babies should still be having formula as their primary source of nutrition until 1. In the baby led weaning group I’m in people have suggested cutting back meals until they get their bottle feedings back up to around 24oz a day. Also offering a bottle a half hour before meal times. Hope that helps!
