Do you have daddy issues that make you want a protective partner or daddy issues that make you annoyed when a partner shows signs of protection/caring Bc you can handle your own?

I like when my bf gets possessive (like calling me his not like telling me I can’t go out cuz that doesn’t happen) but it’s not a daddy issue. Also, i can handle myself and it’s not a daddy issue. On the other hand I have plenary of mommy issues.

What makes you think a person must have daddy issues if they want a man to be protective?  It’s not abnormal for men to be protectors and providers. It is in fact totally normal.
