Too many follicles??😔

Question

Just had my cd12 follicle scan and was told the letrozole worked too well?!! On right side I've a 27mm and 20mm and on left a 17mm and 10mm they want me to do a follicle aspiration? Has anyone been through this? 
I really wanted to go through with this cycle as ive been ttc over 2 years with no success..

They are being ridiculous for nothing. The 27 mm follicle is lost cause. Its egg is overmature it won't create viable embryo. The 10 mm one is too small it won't contain mature egg so zero chance for fertilization. The 20 mm one is  one that might contain egg at right maturity. The 17 mm could also contain good egg. So you have only 2 eggs at best but most likely one good one. My dominant follicle was 19 mm prior to trigger 35 hours later the embryologist found its membrane already significantly hardened so it was almost overmature. Must have grown to 23 mm plus. Your best chance is for twins. I would just go ahead.

I don't know what aspirated follicle means, but my cycle two cycles ago was canceled for the same reason. I left bawling. I told them it feels like they just make up rules as we go along. I had 3 follicles they felt were "too" big and refused to do the iui. I had already triggered and my husband and I just went for it on our own. No pregnancy but we did our best.

Hey ladies the same thing happened to me with 3 at 21mm she refused to give me the trigger shot and I didn’t ovulate on my own. Really disappointed wondering if it’s ever going to work

I don’t know about those particular follicle measurements, but it’s common for doctors to tell you to hold off for a month if they think you have too many follicles.  Chancing multiples is not something you want to be doing - it can result in a very high risk pregnancy, with hard decisions to make about things like selective reduction. I ended up with twins on letrozole, as I didn’t have any monitoring that month. That was fine but anything more than two would not have been good news.

Forgot to mention we are doing timed intercourse if that makes a difference..I rang clinic again and they were adamant that we wont be going ahead with this cycle unless I get the largest one aspirated.. I'm so annoyed as I feel it's diminishing our chances..I mean arent the chances of multiples far less with letrozole than they are with clomid?
Also I have my trigger shot in the drawer and cant say I haven't been tempted to just take it 😂 but I also dont want to risk losing my fertility clinic over this
