Do kids rooms need locks on the doors?
I’ve been seeing the way a lot of gentle parenting advocates are approaching the topic of privacy for their children.
I’m a huge advocate for privacy but I wonder about locks on doors that aren’t the bathroom.
My view is yes except when going to bed only because if there is an emergency I want to be able to get into their room quickly and wake them up without fumbling with a key.
I’m interested to hear how other view and why their view it that way. Although I’m sure I’ll get some “kids don’t need privacy” I’m hoping you expand on the why and give more insight than just “because that’s my opinion”
