My bf turned away when I tried kissing him?

The other night my boyfriend and I were watching Netflix and I started kissing his cheeks but then he kinda moved away from me and was like “cmon love, let’s watch the show.” Then I jokingly was like “ok no more kisses from me tonight” and then he was like “no wait kiss me, it turns me on when you do that”. But I was kind of upset that he had kinda turned away from me. Would you guys feel the same way? It seems like he’s resisting my affection which sucks
