What does "quickening" feel like?

This is my first pregnancy where I've made it to 16 weeks. I have been having some tickling feeling a little in my tummy, and once in a while It makes me want to scratch my belly. Is that "quickening"/the baby moving? For those who have been pregnant before, or know for sure that you're feeling your baby move, what did your first movements feel like?

it felt like little twitches! like i was being poked from the inside. i felt them at 17-18 weeks with my first and 16 weeks with this baby.

I started feeling baby around 16-17 weeks, and it felt a little bit like a tickling feeling or almost bubbly. The bubbly feeling made me think it was just gas initially, but it was in the area where i would normally feel period cramps, and it was only in that spot (whereas gas bubbling kinda moves across my abdomen). I also started noticing a pattern in when it was happening, like at the same points during the day every day. After 2-3 days i was confident it was baby, and it gradually changed into more defined movement. One of the earliest feelings i had as the tickly feelings got bigger, felt similar to a fish in a bag of water lol. Like when you get them from the pet store, and they bump into the side of the bag. It felt sorta like there was a bag of water with a fish bumping around inside my belly.

That’s what it felt like for me! Now at 20 weeks it’s more of an obvious kick

I agree I felt mine at 17 weeks and I’m 20 know and it confirms that I was right at 17 weeks when I was telling hubby I could feel her move.
