Our daughter is 1 in a few weeks and I'm tempted to get rid of her crib and just have a mattress on the floor for a while to see how we get on. She used to be an amazing sleeper but now will fidget and move so much in her sleep she will bump her head or kick the bars several times a night then wake herself up crying and doesn't fall back to sleep until she's in with us having a cuddle. It's gotten to the point that my husband just puts her in with me and he goes to sleep on the sofa, it's every night now. I think because she moves so much she's waking herself up and maybe a bigger mattress with some guards at the side will help her. But I'm also aware she's young still. The room is beyond baby proofed and we have a gate at her door so she'll be safe in that aspect but I was just curious what everyone else thinks? Is it just too soon?
