12.5 weeks, unable to urinate
My husband and I had to make a trip to the ER yesterday because I couldn't pee, like at all. The ER doctor had a Foley catheter put in, draining over 2 liters total from my bladder. The urinalysis came back negative for everything. They sent me home with the catheter. Google said that urinary retention happens sometimes during pregnancy especially if you have a retroverted uterus, which I do.
Has this happened to anyone else? And if so, what was found to be the cause?
Update: After going to the OB ER, my OB thinks that my uterus was stuck on my sacrum. She said that my bladder emptying after the catheter was put in probably released it. Baby's HR was 158 at our last appointment (at 13.6 weeks) and everything seems to be going well, at 16 weeks now.
