Roomates…

Moved to a farm house with some old coworkers the owner needed help with mortgage and I needed a space of my own I was sleeping on family couches or in my car…The home itself needs a lot of work done flooring patching up holes and paint I’m willing to help but breathing in joint compound dust isn’t my fave thing…also they said I might have farm chores….I’ve never done renovations nor have I ever lived on a farm….I don’t feel like I should be doing farm chores…I have no issue contributing money for rent Wi-Fi and utilities as well as food. So is it wrong that I don’t help with the farm? I wanted to have a lease/contract arranged and I made them clear of that but nothing has been done about it. They said they just like having communication but I’d like to have a document. I don’t mind helping with chores but it’s honestly not something I would like to do. It was made clear I wouldn’t have to pay for anything for the animals just for the renovations.
