What do I do? Awkward relationship

Me and my guy friend were really close, we were like best friend before but one day he confessed to me that he has a crush on me so I told him I felt the same way so we started to get serious on our relationship but on our first " date" we went to a party together but he got so drunk that I had to called his parents to pick us up from the party cuz I didn't know how to get him home and I had to take care of him all night because he threw up non stop and got really sick. After that he got his phone taken away so I didn't get a chance to talk to him but the next time I saw him at school he only said hi to me and walked away and couple hours later I saw him holding another girl hand. I'm so confused on what's going on? Because last week we were still a thing? My friends said maybe he just embrassed. Maybe I should talk to him about it because it's bothering me.
