Guy Trouble

Okay I need your guys advice... There's this guy I've liked for a while and we've been flirting back and forth for months! I'm really sick of just waiting around for him to make a move and I've gotten to the point where I'm not even sure if he likes me anymore. Do you guys think I should just shoot him a text like "listen I don't mean to over whelm you or make this awkward but am I just some girl you flirt with or are we just really good friends who are nice to each other, or is it something else? The last thing I want to do it  make this so awkward that it ruins our friendship but I don't like wasting my time on guys who I never go any where with..." Or is that way over bored and I should leave things as it is... It's just so frustrating! Please help me... :(
