Advice

I've been talking to this guy for a little over a year and today we were hanging out and this other guy texted me "miss you" meanwhile I don't talk to this guy we don't have any connection I've texted him before but nothing serious he's actually crazy he constantly texts me and I won't reply but today he happen to text me that crap randomly and the guy I was talking to doesn't want to talk anymore. I've done absolutely nothing though and I don't know how I can convince him I haven't. Any advice? Should I just give him his space?
