Where do I start when looking for a prom dress?

My prom is in May and couldn't be any more happy than I am🙊... Where do I start when looking for dresses?? I live in a suburb outside of Cleveland and I don't think I'll travel more than across the state to find a dress lol so please comment if you know any places around me. Or websites are helpful also, just no fake websites or anything not affordable.

I started with department stores like Dillard's, Macy's, JC Penney's, and I visited a couple larger prom dress shops I found on Google too. Ultimately though I got mine at David's Bridal!

For all three of my proms I got a used dress from Craigslist. All my dresses were high end and originally anywhere from $300-500 and the most I paid was $150. Craigslist is AMAZING!!! lol

you can buy used dresses for great prices through groups on Facebook! the biggest group is The Glass Slipper Pageant Resale! there are wonderful admins to help clear out the bad and make the page great! I highly recommend it. You can just post what you are in search of and anyone with something like it will comment within your price range. I have bought three dresses off of there and each seller was great :)

I always just go to my nearest Dillards and pick something from their prom dress section. There's a lot of online prom sites but I don't really think it's a good idea to buy a dress without having an opportunity to try it on because you might end up not liking it in person.

I actually use I, hell I still do, buy all my formal dresses at places like Ross, TJMaxx, Plato's Closet, Bealls (if you live in FL), and places like that since they're always getting in new things and have amazing prices!
