How can you tell when your breast is empty?

I've been doing one breast per feeding but now I'm not sure if my LO is pulling off because the breast is empty or because she is full. How do you know when your breast is empty? Can anyone describe this to me? Thanks!

You'll never fully empty a breast...but usually it's softer to the touch and baby is refusing it

Put your thumb and index finger north and south at the edge of your areola push back on your boob and squeeze. If milk doesnt come out, massage the outside of your boob (the skin around the areola). Then try again. Usually this will stimulate enough to get the milk to come out.

My breasts just get very deflated and soft. Most of the time so much so that LO can't latch on to the nip - it's just too squishy. I usually offer the other breast but about half the time she's too sleepy and full ☺️
