Paying for your own ring??

My ring is on layaway, and I want to help pay for it! We live together, so all the money is ours together. 
What do you guys think? What are your opinions? Is it appropriate for a girl to help pay for her ring?

We did the same. I saw my ring and that was that. I had to have it. I helped pay as it was only right as that could have been much more than he'd have wanted to pay !! So glad I did !

I don't see why not.  As long as your in a position to be able to. Nobody has to know that you helped pay for it. That's between you and your partner.
