When can I change my belly button piercing?

I got my piercing done around November 4th I've been taking care of it since I got it and so far it's not infected. On the paper that the piercer gave me it said I can change jewelry in 2-3 weeks. It's already December and I'm thinking of changing it by next week but I feel like it's too soon. But I read online it said 6 months? What would you ladies recommend?

The longer you wait, the more healed it will be. You'll know when it's completely healed, no crustiness or soreness.

Wait at least 8 weeks. It really just depends  on how your body heals if you think it's healed by 8 weeks you should be good to go, if not wait til the 3 month mark and check it, then the 6 month and it should be healed. Your piercer  should have told you how long to wait to change it.

I wouldn't take it out yet cus it will close up I have read every sight it says 3 months till u can change it and 6 months till its fully heald

I have mine done I waited till it was fully healed to change it if I can remember correctly. It was years ago but I think I waited long than the recommended 2 to 3 weeks. You don't want it to get infected! You'll be able to tell when it's healed. It won't be sore at all. You can move the ring around freely.

I waited a long time, like 6 months. And every night I used seasalt and distilled water in a shot glass (suctioned it on and layed back, no mess)  to soak my piercing for 15 mins. I've had it for almost 10 years and have had absolutely no problems.

Wait 6 months to change to be safe. My twin changed within 2-3 weeks and got a bad infection. Her belly button took a long time to heal back nornally.
